cathy, i love one red paper crane. the vibrancy and separateness of that one red crane is exquisite.
Thanks Lisa! This piece is sentimental in that it's representational of my grandmother's love for me and her love of folding paper.
I am also partial to the paper cranes, but just as drawn to Winter Forest because I love the trees and the colors you used. Beautiful work Cathy!
My best friend in the world was taught by her grandmother to fold cranes....and when she visits me, which is never often enough, i find them for weeks afterword. On coffee tables, next to TVs, in the yard. I love the One Red Crane piece. Just beautiful!

oh, the paper cranes...something about that image reminds me of "the red balloon," which i dearly love! it would find a happy home by my living room window.
I love Winter forest! It reminds me how my breath seems to move like a calm sea when I'm among trees. The oceanic quality of its blues and greens makes it something I'd like to see first thing each morning: a green oasis in the place where I sit, breathe mindfully, and move into the day.
Nasturtiums in Luck is the one that struck me most. I love orange and the pops are just perfect & the blue green color is another fav. And then the title...I had to google what Nasturtiums were...they were described as "a gardener's dream...virtually carefree once established." Carefree flowers in luck...it's, literally, a wonderful picture. (-: lmixson2001@yahoo.com
I know I can't win it, but "beautiful day" is my latest favorite. So take that!
I love "Winter Forest" . We'd hang it in the baby room we're preparing for our future foster babies!
