In honor of Mr. Groundhog himself, here's a collection of fun, furry little creatures that know how to predict the weather- well, sort of. Apparently, Punxsutawney Phil has only been right 39% of the time. Forecast for 2010 you ask? Six more weeks of winter- sigh.
I love this illustration by Walter King Stone. It was printed in Harper's Magazine in December 1917. That's a groundhog on top of the rock.
